State parks to offer military discount

FRANKFORT — Current and former service members can enjoy discounted lodging and camping at Kentucky state parks.

The state park system announced Monday it is offering 10 percent military discounts on lodge rooms, cottages and campgrounds any time of the year.

At check in, service members must show proof of service, such as discharge papers, a military ID or VFW membership card to receive the special rate.

Lodges and cottages are available at 17 resort parks and 31 campgrounds across the state.
